Reseña profesional
Les Lavièresis a Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru designation in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy. Around 15 producers make red wines from the 18 hectares (44 acres) of Pinot Noir vineyard.
It is regarded as one of the best premier cru sites in the village, and its relatively large size means it is one of the more familiar ones among consumers. The wines tend to be softer, rounder and more approachable when young than some other sites, but with plenty of plump red fruit.
The Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru vineyards are located in two distinct groups. One lies on the south-facing hillside that curves around to become the east-facing slopes of Corton. The other can be found on the east- or east-northeast-facing slopes of Mont Battois, immediately between Beaune and Savigny.
Les Lavières is located in the first cluster, to the east of Savigny-lès-Beaune village. It neighbors Basses Vergelesses, and the border with Pernand-Vergelesses is only a few meters away.
