Reseña profesional
” Reticent, pure aromas of lemon and crushed stone, with a hint of vanillin oak; a more exotic mango note emerged with aeration. Rich, dense and young but with a distinct sweetness in the middle palate, in part a function of the wine’s vanillin oak component. This is fat and sweet but doesn’t quite come alive today. Roulot finds this a bit anonymous, “in the warm style of 2005.” (Incidentally, I retasted the 2004 Charmes, and though this wine was almost painful after the 2005, it’s a real long-distance runner, with a superb core of fruits and minerals, and a saline, dry, very long aftertaste. My most recent score was a solid 93.)”
