At Quinta do Monte Xisto, the first two months of the year were very dry. In March, the rain came strongly, continuing more moderately in April and May, intensifying again in June, which allowed the water levels in the soil to be restored. In July and August, there was a usual increase in temperatures, followed by a cool early September. It was a fairly balanced year, allowing good vine development. The harvest began on September 7.
