Description
Vinha da Ponte is one of the oldest plots of Quinta do Crasto with vines whose average age exceeds 90 years. In 2007, the combination of low production from old vines and high quality grapes allowed us to create a wine of exceptional concentration and complexity. The grapes were crushed in a single press and transferred to an open-topped stainless steel tank for temperature-controlled fermentation. After aging for 20 months in French oak barrels, the Quinta do Castro Vinha da Ponte 2007 wine was bottled in June 2009 without any filtration, which may create deposits in the bottle.
