Located in São João da Pesqueira, one of the best-known wine production areas of the Douro, Quinta de Cidrô has become a model of winemaking experimentation for the entire region. In a virgin land, cutting-edge technology was used to plant the best grape varieties over an area exceeding 150 ha. Winemaking of Quinta de Cidrô Chardonnay White Wine: 80% of the wine ferments in French oak barrels, with the remaining 20% fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The Chardonnay fermented in oak remains in barrels for another 8 months in contact with fine lees using the batonage method. The final blend is made to achieve the desired balance.
