At the beginning of the 20th century, when he acquired Quinta do Piloto, Humberto da Silva Cardoso reserved for himself 10 small 50-liter barrels which he filled with the finest muscats from his estates. Since then, this muscatel has been kept in the shade of the Quinta do Piloto cellar, reserved only for the family. Year after year, four generations followed the ritual of filling each barrel with the best of each harvest. Thus was born this precious and rare muscatel, which offers a taste of a century of dedication from a historic family of Palmela.
