Reseña profesional
Merlot in this form is both energetic and profound. The 2016 Messorio is an absolute textbook portrayal of Merlot, with layers and overlapping textures that can be read and savored as the wine rolls across the palate. On the palate, there is a hint of sweetness, but the wine also has a sharp acidity that creates a fantastic balancing act. I sampled this wine twice, and the first time I did, I paired it with the 2015 vintage, allowing me to compare the two more directly. Unlike the 2015 vintage, which was more velvety and delicate, the 2016 vintage has been expertly constructed.
