On the palate, the Krug Vintage 2008 is soft at first, then builds with remarkable brightness, candied fruit and citrus peel, fragrant with tangerine and delicate ripe peeled apricots, a sea wind gently rolling over it to give it freshness, aniseed and buttery overtones, crisp apple tart. Yes, it is a ‘classic beauty’ in my opinion; what a fantastic wine; buy it and let it mature longer.
