Reseña profesional
A very small producer, Jean-Michel Stephan sources this old vine cuvee from Coteau Bassenon in Côte-Rôtie. The vines were planted in 1896 with a historic Syrah clone called Serine (which the AOC is now trying to fully identify and preserve) and Viognier (which makes up about a full 20% of the blend). This vineyard is so low-yielding that it is only bottled in years that they get enough grapes. Otherwise the scant few grapes are included in a different cuvee.
