The dark ruby-coloured 1990, which already reveals some amber, offers a fragrant bouquet of spicy, oaky, cherry and herb-like fruit. This is an admirably concentrated, surprisingly approachable, extremely well balanced wine with outstanding depth and purity of fruit to its medium bodied personality. Surprisingly, it is close to full maturity.
