A long-lived vintage, this 1978 is showing well for its age with its still-fresh acidity and intense yet delicate, savoury flavours of caramelised nuts, dried red berries, cigar, coffee beans and crème brûlée. Red berry sweetness and fine tannins provide balance on the long, gentle finish.
