A compelling wine. Deep, dark purple/red colour. Brooding purple fruit aromas are masked by slight notes of reduction. The palate displays a fabulous array of red-fruit across a spectrum from redcurrant and raspberry, through plum & damson to loganberry – wonderful fruit intensity is supported by a fine structure & balanced by fresh but not sharp acids. Tannins are tight but silky & the alcohol is balanced. The long, clean finish shows lovely fruit.
