This wine has turned out beautifully, and despite being totally closed early on, it is developing considerable richness and sweetness. The Merlot component dominates as evidenced by the copious plum, currant, black cherry, and cedary fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied and still shows some old-style, rather astringent tannin, but there is plenty of fat and flesh to cover them up. This wine is just hitting its plateau of drinkability.
