Edmundo B. Fernández, Inc. was founded in the late 19th century by Pedro Fernández, a Spanish engineer who settled in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He began producing rum on his farm using family recipes and traditional methods. The distillery still operates on the same property and continues to follow the artisanal processes established by Fernández. Ron del Barrilito is one of the oldest and most respected rums in Puerto Rico, known for its consistency and quality over the years.
