The Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a prominent position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, extending along the slopes of the right bank of the tributary Rio Torto. The oldest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759. Ports with age indication are a blend of various years that have developed a refined flavor, as a result of aging in selected oak barrels, which provide the typical aging and character of Old Tawnies. The wisdom and expertise of the cellar master are fundamental in blending old and rare Tawnies, where only the best Ports that have stood the test of time are selected. The result is a Tawny Aged of supreme quality and rarity, with the average age indicated on the label.
