Reseña profesional
The 1986 is dark ruby in color, with an intense bouquet of sweet oak and cedary black currants. This wine has excellent depth and richness, full body, and sensational extraction of fruit. It lingers and lingers on the palate, with quite a tannic finish. This wine should not be touched before the mid-1990s, and is capable of lasting for 15-20 years thereafter. Thirty percent new oak casks were used. Along with the 1989, it represents the finest Pontet-Canet since 1961.
