It is the 1997 vintage where we started to introduce a third selection so that the quality of Pavillon Rouge would no longer be pulled down by a few disappointing lots. The 1997 Pavillon Rouge therefore, benefited from this more rigorous selection and has the same finesse and balance as the first wine, but with les power and complexity. It is perfect to drink today.
