The color is a rich purple. Aromas of warm cassis, cocoa, vanillin, and cinnamon prevail, with a sprinkle of anise and some dried plum thrown in for good measure. This is a huge, dense, hefty Palmer on the palate, with less elegance and femininity and more fruit and alcohol punch. Tannins are medium to firm, with a medium+ acidity. The final stretch is quite long.
