Reseña profesional
The 1966 Lynch Bages showed well in the tasting. Medium garnet-colored with considerable amber at the edge, the aromatics could have pushed this wine into the 90-point category, but the flavors were dry and angular, and there was considerable astringent tannin in the finish. Nevertheless, the bouquet was classic Pauillac and Lynch Bages – sweet and cedary, with plenty of herb-tinged black fruits, smoked meat, and game-like notes. It is a medium-bodied effort made in the old, elegant, slightly excessively tannic style of Bordeaux made during this period
