Reseña profesional
An astonishingly beautiful Colheita, with a burst of enlivening acidity balancing the deep, sweet flavors. It’s both powerful and elegant — a remarkable example of how great old wood-aged Ports can be
Nose
Powerful and deeply aromatic. Notes of caramel, molasses, dried fruits (especially figs and prunes), and toffee. Hints of spice, walnuts, and dark chocolate add complexity. The bouquet is rich, layered, and highly expressive for its age.
Palate
Sweet and concentrated, but lifted by vibrant acidity that gives remarkable freshness. Shows a silky, elegant texture with balanced sweetness and structure. Intense flavors of treacle, caramelized nuts, and molasses, evolving into a slightly bitter chocolate note on the long finish. Despite being over 70 years old, it feels energetic and alive, not tired or over-oxidized.
