Darker fruit, and almost perfumed. The body has improved as well, richer and fuller. I’m really surprised by the amount of fresh fruit this wine still shows after 24 years. The midpalate has filled up a bit as well, with oriental spices. Nice and velvety tannins, gooood.
The finish is my favourite aspect of this wine; it just lingers and lingers without becoming boring. Fresh, red cherries, and a cinnamon touch has appeared to add additional interest.
