During a Commanderie de Bordeaux bin end event. A positive surprise. Aromatic nose of dark fruit with bakery, gingerbread. Very solid mouth fill for a 1999, good balance, full bodied. Nice finish. Quality terroir is visible in the aromatics here. Clos Fourtet is often over extracted these days. So nice to see a well balanced wine from a wetter vintage. (cellartracker)
