The 2006 Quella is the newest addition to these single-vineyard wines (which are nearly all Cabernet Sauvignon). This wine, with its dense purple color, appears to be the most austere of the bunch. The espresso roast flavors are intermixed with blackberry and floral-infused blue fruits in this deep, rich, beautiful wine, but the tannins come in at the end, and the wine appears closed and in need of further aging. I’d let this sit for a half-decade before drinking it over the next two decades.
